Most people think of the Elks Lodge as a bar and a banquet room.
In fact, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks is _the_ premier charitable and patriotic organization in the USA. Our Lodge just happens to have a bar…
We focus on youth, veterans and community – through programs like Americanism and Drug Awareness, soccer and hoop shoots, Christmas party and ice fishing contest, and sending kids to youth camp, all expenses paid. We also award scholarships--we are second in the nation next to the Government.
We adopt local Veterans and troops overseas, who we send packages with toiletries, snacks and candies. We also correspond with soldiers via letters back and forth. The Elks has set aside $4 million to fight Veterans homelessness.
Did you know that the local Faribault Elks Lodge #1166 has donated over $5.5 million to our local community?
Next time when you visit our Lodge, think about what your membership would mean for our local community…
